This caviar has a nutty, buttery flavor very similar to sturgeon that can be traced back to the sturgeon family of the Caspian Sea.. Its color ranges from dark a dark bronze to black.

We served some of the Hackleback caviar to a Russian friend who (literally) grew up on Beluga caviar for breakfast. She loved it!

We were surprised when the order came in ounce glass containers instead of the blue tin and red rubber band. My father-in-law has been buying Russian caviar from a local merchant for the past 10 yrs and he could not tell the difference between the caviar I ordered and what he'd been having for 10 yrs.
